Blue Cross Blue Shield - Illinois; Only interested in self profit - never the health of subscribers. Where do I start? Latest fiasco was BC/BS-IL spending over $1,000 of their own money in costs of appeals & 'Independent Review Organizations' (i.e. shill) so they can deny a routine physical cholesterol test for $26. Reason? Wasn't the 'right cholesterol test', though they had paid the claim for the exact same test with every physical done over the past 10 years. Yes, they are really that focused on profit for BC/BS-IL leadership that they can't see any financial or medical reason to pay claims appeals regardless of how well or persistently explained to them. I'll never use them. Avoid BC/BS-IL IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!!!!
