I am insured with auto owners insurance threw Rick Vaill insurance co. I had a theft from my home my soon to be X wife said she removed all firearms from the house. When I got them back there were 2 items missing a pistol and a compition bow togather they were worth much more then insured for but I revived the 2 checks one for 2000 the other was 400. I sent a letter to the claims adjester and requested him to make the checks payable to me alone since my wife had no claim because I owned both items before getting married. I revived the checks about a month after it was approved. It was made out to both my wife and I. I deposited the checks by my signature alone. Ruffly 3 month aga and spent most of that on attorney fees. About 3 weeks I revived a call from Delta Credit Union that my had costed the pay off because her name was signed they charged my bank account the 2400.00 which put me deep in the red. I talked with the claims officer he said he had to do it that way and would have to give half. Which in essence was paying her to steal my property. The claims adjuster has a close working relationship with Mr. Vaill company and did I mention my insurance agent at the insurance office is my wife. How is that for a twist. Auto-Owners is a huge dissipointment to me as well as my insurance agent.
